The Penny

We inlay one penny under our premium watch trays to mark the year it was made. This tradition, used by many woodworkers, has been one of our family traditions for several decades.

  • Blake’s Legacy

  • Our story starts with Grandpa Blake. Blake was born in 1929 into humble circumstances. He grew up working with his hands and contributed to the household. He quietly paved his own path becoming a respected Civil Engineer. Dozens of structures around the world will stand for generations as a testament to Blake's uncompromising spirit.

  • Forever Tinkering

  • Blake loved to tinker in his wood shop, usually making gifts for others. Every family member or friend's house likely has a stool, clock, jewelry box, paper towel holder or signature beehive from him still today. He passed his love of tinkering on to his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Today we make watch trays with lessons we learned from Blake and some of his old tools.

  • Above all else, Blake valued his relationships. His wooden gifts were merely a way of showing his love and sharing joy with others. When he passed away in 2018 he didn't leave behind a Patek, he left behind a rich legacy.
